Hi! My name is Thomas. I’m a product developer by training, driven by the question: how do ideas become things that actually make an impact?
That mindset led me to co-found Wakaaro, where we work with gamification and serious games as a way to make complex topics tangible, engaging and actionable. What began as a stand-alone initiative gradually grew into something bigger.
Today, Wakaaro is part of Think Nova. A broader ecosystem where we design and develop media formats, learning solutions and experiences that turn ideas and content into real impact. Our brands include Financial Media, ESG Ambition, Wakaaro, The Podcast Planet and Ambition Academy.

In 2020, I won the Udesign for Real People challenge together with co-student Margot Fonteyn. Our design MOBE was the only winner in the category "Product". MOBE is a wearable allowing users to track and review their own movement smart-sleeves for arms and legs. MOBE can be used to improve sports, like golf or skating, but also aids in the recovery of people suffering from motorial problems, giving them and their physicians the opportunity to review the movements they made at home or during the day. The Udesign challenge is an initiative of Inter, the Flemish institute for accesability and gave us the opportunity to go on a studytrip to Italy. All the winners can be found here.
